As a strong advocate for sustainable building practice, Scott is thrilled by the growth in large timber construction happening throughout the country. He enjoys witnessing the industry find better ways to utilise timber as a renewable resource in these builds, reducing reliance on traditional concrete and steel methods. Spending time in buildings that showcase exposed timber structures creates a great feeling for Scott, a testament to this growing trend.

Paul is charismatic and well-liked, renowned in the industry for his ability to build strong relationships and deliver exceptional customer service. With over 22 years of experience in various roles, including NZ Engineering Manager, APAC Short Term Protection Business Manager, and Senior Account Manager, Paul brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the team. He takes pride in his contributions to developing innovative antisapstain solutions, many of which are now widely adopted by customers.

Outside of work, Paul is an avid rugby enthusiast and collector of match-worn memorabilia. He also cherishes time spent with family and friends. What Paul loves most about being part of the Arxada Wood Protection team is the camaraderie and supportive environment, which makes every day at work enjoyable.
 

Originally from Argentina, Pedro brings a wealth of experience to our New Zealand team. With nearly two decades in the industry, he's become our go-to expert for CCA treatments and troubleshooting.

Pedro's extensive knowledge of timber treatments is complemented by his ability to explain complex concepts with creative and clear metaphors. His commitment to customer satisfaction sets a high standard, inspiring his colleagues to strive for excellence.

A true team player, Pedro thrives in a technical environment and is always eager to share his knowledge. His dedication and approachable nature make him a valued member of our team.

Outside of work, Pedro enjoys spending time with his family, fly fishing, running, and playing social football.
 

Clair, the youngest member of the team and therefore by default is the IT department for the Rotorua office. She also handles Account Management and Marketing, leveraging her decade of experience in the timber treatment industry across both New Zealand and Australia. Clair is a big fan of innovation and sustainable practices, always thinking outside the box to help customers maximize the benefits of their chemistry and set up more efficient practices. She’s particularly proud of setting up an Anti-sapstain App with remote monitoring features, which has saved hundreds of hours and increased productivity at one of the largest green sawn mills in the country.

Outside of work, Clair is passionate about mountain biking. She actively participates in the Rotorua Mountain Bike Club Committee and serves as a Trustee for the Rotorua Trails Trust. Her love for biking has led to collaborative community initiatives with industry peers.

Clair's favourite thing about being part of the Arxada Wood Protection team is the unity and teamwork. She appreciates the knowledge-sharing culture and the opportunities to learn from her colleagues.
 

Andre is a pivotal member of the team, providing crucial technical guidance to his colleagues and customers. He plays a key role in assisting Engineered Wood Product customers both locally and globally with their treatment requirements.

With well over 20 years of experience in the wood protection industry, Andre's expertise is unparalleled. He began his journey with Zelam before the NZ-owned business was acquired by Lonza (now Arxada), showcasing his deep-rooted knowledge and commitment to the field.

His “Just do it” approach to work is refreshingly straightforward. With a background in R&D and a practical approach, Andre is a driving force behind getting the job done efficiently.

One of Andre's proudest accomplishments at Arxada is his contribution to the development of key Anti-Sapstain & Glueline preservatives. He is committed to doing things right and takes pride in helping customers achieve the best results from their treatments.

Outside of work, Andre is a true outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, DIY projects, and spending quality time with his family.
